If you've decided to make a YouTube channel just because you think you can earn a lot of money, effortlessly, you're making a big mistake! YouTube is not a quick way to make easy money!

Achieving success on YouTube doesn't mean you only have to upload a couple of videos and hope one of them goes viral. In the past, to start monetizing your channel, you had to reach 10.000 views in total for all the videos you had uploaded on your channel. As I explained in above though, starting to monetize your channel takes a lot more effort now.

However, to do that, you have to go to youtube.com and access your channel. There you should see the monetization tab and then enable it.

The whole process might actually take a while because your channel and videos will then be viewed by YouTube and they will let you know whether they accept the monetization or not.

After you have activated the monetization on your account, you will soon have to sign up for a Google Adsense account using your YouTube account's email.

However, after you do that, your Google Adsense account also needs to get approved. If they approve your account, then you'll have to go into the whole process of verifying your YouTube channel.

Soon after approving your account, Google Adsense will send you a letter in the mail containing a code to use in order to verify your address. You basically have to go back to your Google Adsense account and enter the code that they sent you.

Next, you'll have to verify the bank account, which is actually similar to the address process. You will have to put in your bank account information and they will send you an amount, under $1 which you'll then have to type in on your Google Adsense account. If the amount you entered is correct, your bank account information will be verified.

Last, but not least, after you've finished with the first steps, you need to verify your tax ID information. To do that, again, you have to go back to your Google Adsense account and put it in.

Receiving The Money

To actually receive the money you make, your payment threshold has to be $100. Basically, once you have the minimum payment threshold, they will directly deposit it into your bank account. Although, if you're under $100, they will not deposit your money.
